Blacks In Government (BIG) Officer Leadership Training (OLT) is a two-phase training program designed to provide initial and sustained training for BIG members. BIG’s face-to-face and online training create members who are grounded in the core knowledge of Blacks In Government and other leadership competencies (leading, developing, and achieving). They are designed to provide leadership training on:
- Leadership responsibility
- BIG’s goals and objectives
- Purpose and philosophy of BIG
- Organizational governing documents
- Roles and responsibilities of officers
- Programs, initiatives, and services of BIG
- Other related topics
